What we do
Your Plant Hire helps people who need plant—builders, civil contractors, farmers, councils and project owners—find suppliers and plan the hire properly. We organise listings by equipment type and location, and publish practical guides on sizing, licensing, costs, transport and site conditions.
We are not a hire company. We do not own equipment, take bookings or receive payments for hires, and we do not guarantee any supplier’s availability, pricing or performance.
How listings are sourced
- Listings come from a shared, structured Australian plant hire directory dataset.
- Records hold published business details: name, base location, service states, equipment categories, contact details and, where available, hire models.
- Each record carries a verification status, and location records carry a last-verified date.
- Where a field says “Confirm”, the information has not been published—ask the supplier.
How guides are written
Guides are written for Australian conditions and regulations and reviewed against public information from Safe Work Australia, state WHS regulators, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator and state road authorities. Cost figures are indicative ranges based on typical published metropolitan rates and are clearly labelled. Guides were last reviewed on 2026-09-18.
Update or correct a listing
If you run a hire business and your details are wrong or missing, send us a correction request. To add a business, use the listing request form. We prioritise corrections to contact details, service areas and equipment categories.
Important
Information on this site is general in nature. Always confirm licences, site requirements, specifications and commercial terms with the supplier and your principal contractor before work starts. See our hire agreement checklist.
